Born on February 22nd, 1975, Drew
Barrymore is an American actress
and film producer. Coming from a
family of actors, she got into acting
when she was eleven months old.
At the age of 5 in 1980, Barrymore
debuted on screen in Altered
States, a science fiction film. Soon
after, she landed a role in the hit
film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial that
helped her career take off, quickly
becoming one of Hollywood's most
recognizable child actresses.
Barrymore made a successful
transition from child actress to
adult actress. She has played roles
in romantic comedies such as co-starring in The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler and
starring in the drama film Lucky You opposite Eric Bana.
Barrymore has become involved with charity work, and was named Ambassador Against
Hunger for the United Nations World Food Programme. Since then, Barrymore's donations
have topped $1 million dollars to the program.
