Say NO to Being a Grammar Slave with Afrikaans
Contrary to popular belief, Afrikaans is a straightforward language to master and speak. First of all, both English and Afrikaans come from the West Germanic Language Facility. However, there are quite a few differences between the two languages.
For starters, Afrikaans presents simple grammar, unlike most other languages. You will not find word conjugations like eat-ate-eaten, gender issues like those in French or Spanish, and pronouns like mine, yours, whose and the likes. In short, you are not a grammar slave in Afrikaan. However, roughly 7 million people speak Afrikaans at present.
