First Marriage
At the young age of 19, Judy Garland got married for the first time. She married David Rose, but unfortunately, the union was short-lived. The media called their relationship a “true rarity” by the time of their wedding. Garland didn’t get the fairy-tale ending she hoped for, but things quickly got worse for the starlet.

What you may now is that Garland got pregnant soon after she got married, but it wasn’t celebratory news. Instead of being excited about a new addition to her family, she was pressured into having an abortion by her mother, MGM Studios, and even her husband, David Rose. That was the end of their relationship. Garland and Rose were officially divorced by 1944.
