A Movie or Real-Life?
As Al went through life, he was known as the “walking encyclopedia;” a nickname that his classmates gave him. He didn’t really understand why his brain was able to retain so much information. He didn’t even know where he learned a lot of the material he knew. On his 60th birthday, though, the clues finally started coming together, and he began understanding.
In 1988, Bielek was watching a science fiction movie with his family, The Philadelphia Experiment. Supposedly, the film was based on a true story, but the movie didn’t seem comprehensible to anyone other than Al. During the movie, he got a chilling and unsettling feeling through his body that he has seen all of this before.
