One Hand Saluting, The Other Signing Autograph – Celebs Who Served in the Military

Now, it’s very well known that people who served in the military often have a lot of discipline, can stick to routines and work hard to keep fit and accomplish missions. With these stars, it looks like that training followed through to their real lives.

Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman is one of the most successful actors of his generation working well into his old age. He even played the president of the United States. He always seems cool, calm and collected. Freeman chose to enter the United States Air Force instead of taking on his drama scholarship to Jackson State University.

Freeman thought flying was his passion but after serving as a pilot in the military he changed his mind. (Thank goodness for us!) On this, he remarked, “You are not in love with this; you are in love with the idea of this.” After leaving the Air Force back in 1959 they named him “Airman First Class.”
