As If You Were to…
“ Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. ” — Mahatma Gandhi
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, politician, social activist, and writer who became the leader of the nationalist movement against the British rule of India.
As part of his nonviolent non-cooperation campaign for home rule, Gandhi stressed the importance of economic independence for India. He was assassinated in 1948 by Nathuram Vinayak Godse, who was a right-wing advocate of Hindu nationalism.
