Random Fun Facts About ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’

Rocky Wasn’t Supposed to Have Any Lines

The Rocky Horror Picture Show was just full of improvisation, like a lot of other films out there. The creative time thought they had the perfect cast after bringing in Peter Hinwood for the role of Rocky Horror. They took back everything they said when they found out that he was a model with no acting experience whatsoever. Sharman and O’Brien changed their minds and decided to remove all Hinwood’s speaking parts.

There is another singer dubbed over his singing parts, so you don’t actually hear Hinwood’s voice at all in the movie. It seems like they really loved how he looked, but not how he sounded. He even told People magazine in 2000 that one of the reasons he didn’t milk the moment in this film is, “One, I can’t act.” They ended up using an Australian singer named Trevor White.
