Maniac
Maniac is actually an adapted remake of a Norwegian series and is easily one of the best releases of 2018. When Netflix remade the series, it wowed fans with a star-studded cast, world-class acting, a carefully crafted plot and great cinematography. The plots centers around the characters Owen and Annie, played by Jonah Hill and Emma Stone.

Both Owen and Annie suffer from mental disabilities and agree to a new medical trial which claims to solve their problems. Unsurprisingly, the trial doesn’t go quite to plan, but when Owen and Annie meet, they realize they have a cosmic connection. Maniac transports us all on a wild ride, filled with twists and turns and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next season.
