Argentina has a large population of around 44 million people. Yet the Argentine Army has only 51,000 military personnel. It’s actually one of the few countries that have fewer people on reserves than in active duty, at 52,000.
The military has 86 fighter jets and only a few other fighter aircraft. They’re generally more concerned with work on the ground, deploying 430 tanks, rocket projectors, and other vehicles. The annual budget is $5.1 billion.
