Wilder and America’s Sweetheart
Marylin had worked with Wilder on the “Seven Year Rich” and had been studying method acting at the time at the Lee Strasburg acting studio with the ambition of being an actor. She had called Wilder after advice from her husband Arthur Miller who encouraged her to accept the role after suffering a recent miscarriage.
This proved to be the best decision the young Marylin could make if she wanted to dip her feet into the world of acting more seriously.
