There is a reason she’s known as the “Queen of Country Pop.” She was married first to producer Robert John Lange, also known as “Mutt.” Like many country stars, they crossed paths in Nashville at the popular Nashville Fan Fair. Despite their divorce, their 1993 nuptials were not short lived. They birthed their son Eja in 2001, and like monarchies of the past, adultery would lurk the walls of their union.

“Mutt” did something any queen could never forgive. Robert did not just cheat on Shania, he betrayed her by sleeping with her then best friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud, who was at the time married to Frédéric Thiébaud: the same man Shania would end up ultimately marrying three years after her divorce in 2010. Many speculations on drew wind that Shania’s voice was damaged by the tragic divorce. She later states “I want to correct that! I lost my voice from Lyme disease. The stress of the divorce added to the dysphonia, which is a tension around the larynx. The divorce is part of it, but not the root of it”. This Country Romance is really one for the history books!

An American household: name Hootie and the Blowfish (one of the catchier band names in history) was loved by all young and old. Country singer and songwriter Darius Rucker lead the way as the band’s singer and guitarist. In his early work, he had released an R&B album as a solo artist. In 2008 Rucker made his pivot to “country” and never turned back after signing a deal with Capitol Nashville. In April of 1995 a girlfriend not, much is known about by the name of Elizabeth Ann Phillips, had conceived his first daughter Caroline Pear Phillips (who graduated from early 2018) Him and his new wife Beth Leonard are madly in love and work every day to keep the fire burning bright! The two met when Darius was still with Hootie and the Blowfish, and Beth at the time was working for iconic TV Station VH1.

Beth needed some convincing, but Rucker would not let up. In his interview with publication “TheBoot,” he’s quoted as saying: “I had been trying to get her to go out with me, and she wouldn’t. I was in New York [with Hootie & the Blowfish], and it was one of those rare nights off. I didn’t have anything to do — we always had something to do when we were in New York! We had the night off, and I was just in my hotel room. She called me and said, ‘Hey, do you want to go see this play?’ I was like, ‘Sure!'” Darius later goes on to reflect on the hardships of the relationship referring to Beth as “the strongest” woman he had ever known. They were young, and he was busy being a musician, and she would wait for him to come home for long tours. Beth always stuck by his side. The two married in the year 2000 and are the first interracial couple of country music history. They have since birthed two children Daniella Rose and little Jack.

A Career Scared by Tragedy

Craig Morgan is a family man. A loyal American, and a hard-working musician. After releasing his first country album in 2000 via Atlantic Records with 17 singles reaching the Billboard Country Charts. 6 of them reaching the top ten! Craig and his wife, Karen, bared witness to the birth of four children: one daughter named Aly, as well as three sons. Kyle, Jerry, and Wyatt. In July 2016 Jerry was declared missing after an innertube accident on the Tennessee River. Luckily the body was recovered ten days later.

In 2013 they shattered the glass ceiling and through artificial insemination, were able to conceive identical twin sons named for their grandfathers: George Samuel & Everette Joseph.
