Martina was born on October 18th, 1956 in Czechoslovakia. She became a professional tennis player in 1975 and retired in 1994 after winning 167 career titles. She won 18 Grand Slam Singles Titles as follows: 9 Wimbledon, 2 French, 3 Australian, and 4 US Open. She is known for her physicality and timing when playing a one-on-one match. She also holds the record for having the highest number of career titles. 59 out of her 167 titles are Grand Slam Titles including doubles, singles as well as the mixed doubles. She will also be remembered the greatest doubles players the world ever had after winning 31 Grand Slam Doubles titles.
