John McEnroe
John McEnroe started his career as a tennis ball player in 1978. McEnroe is a 7 Grand Slam Singles Titles winner – 4 US Open and 3 Wimbledon . McEnroe lost the 1980 Wimbledon final to Bjorn Borg. He won the ATP Player of the Year and was named the ITF World Champion three times respectively in 1981, 1983 and 1984.
Before he retired in 1992, he had won 105 career titles. After his divorce from award-winning actress Tatum O’Neal, McEnroe got married to rock singer Patty Smyth in 1997. John McEnroe was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in 1999.
