Ivan Lendl

Ivan Lendl is regarded as one of the world’s greatest tennis player. In the 80s, he was the world’s No. 1 tennis player for 270 weeks. Lendl started playing as a pro in 1978. Between 1981 and 1991, Lendl appeared in 19 Grand Slam singles finals and won 11 of them. Lendl also won 7 year-end championships.

During the course of Ivan Lendl’s career, he compiled a 1,071-239 record, 144 career titles and career prize money of $21,262,417. In 1989, Lendl got married to Samantha Frankel after losing the US Open finals to Boris Becker. In 2001 Ivan Lendl was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
