“ The Dawn of the Dead ” was released in 1978, as the next much-anticipated installment of the zombie-horror “ Night of the Living Dead ” series. This is a sequel was a huge commercial success and was even more profitable than the first movie for a few reasons.

Although the second movie in George Romero’s series shares no similar cast members with the first, Rotten Tomatoes hailed it as one of the most ‘ compelling and entertaining zombie films ever made ’. That’s because of the gripping plot, compelling characters and the way it manages to bring the zombie apocalypse story to life was ahead of its time.
