Three Adults, Three Kids, and a Tragic Car Accident

Tragedy struck in 1967 when Mansfield and two other passengers died in a car accident. Amazingly, Mariska, who was three years old at the time, and her two older brothers Mickey and Zoltan, were in the backseat sleeping. They were injured but miraculously survived.

On June 29, 1967, riding in the back of a Buick Electra with her brothers, her mother, her mother’s boyfriend (attorney Sam Brody), and their driver Ronnie Harrison. They were heading on Route 90 from Mississippi, where Jayne had just performed in a nightclub act, to New Orleans.
