This photo was taken in the 1960s, during an era when most Americans had nuclear bunkers just in case Cuba or Russia “accidentally” pressed the button that would essentially lead to a nuclear war. If this was seen by the public at the time, the entire nation would have entered a state of chaos.

But fortunately for the American public, the CIA chose to keep the photo of Russian soldiers in the midst of a chemical weapons warehouse during the Cold War away from everyone’s attention.
